Our Activities Co- Ordinator here at Charlotte James runs a range of activities to help keep our residents’ minds active and engaged. A mixture of individual and group games are played throughout the week such as Bingo which is always a popular game for our residents.
Daily arts and crafts are provided by our wellbeing Co Ordinator, seasonal decorations and garden ornaments are amongst the things made by our residents.
During our warmer months gardening is always a popular activity with planting / sewing and sunflower competitions.
When you first arrive here at Charlotte James our well being Co Ordinator will sit down with you and create a personalised plan which includes your likes/ dislikes and hobbies. We will also speak with family and friends to understand more about you and your life history.
Reminiscence Activities are a great way of conversation and stimulation for our residents.
At Charlotte James we have a weekly visit from our 2 Pet Therapy dogs from the RSPCA who brings a smile to everyone they meet.
To keep our residents enjoying and experiencing day to day tasks we have opened a Onsite sweet shop where they can visit the shop and pick out a bag of sweets of there choice for them to enjoy.
We enjoy having Local Singers and entertainers visits us here at Charlotte James who preform a variety of songs from the past and we encourage all residents if able to have a singalong.
We have a notice board in a communal area informing our residents and family and friends of any special days or events that are planned for the upcoming months.
